From August 2 until Thanksgiving weekend, participants, families and friends are encouraged to walk, run, skip, bike or hike each of the 11 kms of trails at Ken Reid Conservation Area. Participants will not only receive a medal after completing the Ken Reid Conservation Area Challenge but will be helping the environment through both tree planting projects and fundraising for important initiatives across the Kawartha Conservation Watershed.
Individuals and families can register for the first Explore Nature Challenge at Ken Reid Conservation Area online and the challenge officially kicks off on August 2.
Proceeds from the challenge will go to support the Kawartha Conservation Foundation and their efforts to help undertake important initiatives that support the environment and the people who enjoy our environment, conservation areas and more.
